Fondazione CHANGES joins the European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage: kick-off event to launch a new european initiative

Fondazione CHANGES is proud to announce its participation in the European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage (RCH), a major European initiative dedicated to strengthening the resilience of cultural heritage in the face of climate change and other societal challenges, while unlocking the vital role that heritage can play in supporting climate action and sustainable development.

Supported by the European Commission, the Partnership brings together 95 organisations from 30 countries, including universities, research organisations, cultural heritage institutions, public authorities, SMEs and civil society organisations. By connecting cultural heritage, climate science, research, innovation and policy, RCH aims to develop the knowledge, skills and solutions needed to safeguard Europe’s diverse cultural heritage while enhancing its contribution to a more resilient and sustainable future.

Recognising cultural heritage not only as an asset at risk from climate change, but also as a powerful resource for addressing contemporary challenges, the Partnership promotes interdisciplinary collaboration across sectors and countries. Through this shared effort, RCH seeks to strengthen research excellence, foster innovation and support evidence-based policymaking capable of generating lasting impact.

Over the coming years, the Partnership will launch joint transnational research calls, supported by Living Labs, training programmes, Seasonal Schools and knowledge exchange activities. These initiatives will empower researchers, professionals and communities, encourage innovative approaches to cultural heritage protection and transformation, and strengthen cooperation between research and practice, local initiatives and international networks.
